Principal's Message

To the students and families of Chestermere Lake Middle School,

It brings me great joy to welcome everyone to the start of the 2023 school year. Whether you're a student, parent, or guardian, the start of the school year is an exciting time filled with new opportunities, learning adventures, and growth. As you embark on this journey, remember that each day brings a chance to learn something new, make lasting memories, and build valuable skills.

For students, it's a chance to reunite with friends, meet new teachers, and explore new subjects that spark your curiosity. This is as much your school as it is the teachers and staff’s. What do you want it to look like? What are you doing to make your vision happen? Let’s get off the sides lines of life and embrace the challenges that come your way, for they will only help you become stronger and more resilient individuals.

To families, your support and involvement play a vital role in your child's educational journey. Thank you for your continued support with their progress, lending a helping hand with homework, and encouraging them to explore their passions.

Administration Update- Mr. Scott Woodward moved as Principal to Windsong School. Mr. John-Mark Crane, previous Assistant Principal at CLMS, is the new principal.

As the school year kicks off, keep these tips in mind:

  • Stay Organized: Use planners, calendars, and digital tools to keep track of assignments, projects, and important dates.

  • Set Goals: Define both short-term and long-term goals for the academic year. Working toward these goals will give you a sense of purpose and achievement.

  • Stay Curious: Ask questions, participate in class discussions, and explore beyond the classroom to feed your curiosity.

  • Time Management: Learn to balance schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and personal time effectively.

  • Healthy Habits: Prioritize good sleep, balanced nutrition, and regular exercise to stay physically and mentally healthy.

  • Communication: Stay in touch with teachers, parents, and classmates to foster a supportive learning environment.

  • Embrace Challenges: Don't be afraid to tackle difficult subjects or tasks. Challenges are opportunities to learn and grow.

  • Celebrate Progress: Recognize your achievements along the way, whether they're big or small.

Remember, learning is a lifelong journey, and every step you take contributes to your personal and academic development. Here's to a successful and enriching school year ahead!
